Brief
You are required to submit a fully referenced analytical paper of 3,000 words (excluding diagrams, figures and appendices). Examples of the Harvard system are included in your Course Notes. Please submit both a paper-based and electronic versions (via Moodle).
This requires you to critically review a significant range of literature and to present an analysis and logical arguments. Peer-reviewed academic literature is to be preferred to non-reviewed material (particularly much which is found on the Internet – quotes from Wikipedia will lose you marks). It should always be clear to the reader of your paper what is your understanding of what the literature says and what is your position on that although you are encouraged not to place excessive emphasis upon your own opinion.
