Reflective essay

Order Description
This component of the assessment task will require you to reflect on an episode of care you have provided during your study period 1 PEP. Using the modified Rolfe,
Freshwater and Jasper�s (2001) guided model on reflection illustrated over the page, select one key nursing intervention that you implemented during this episode of
care and reflect on the effectiveness of the intervention for this person/case study using the model. A minimum of five (5) references which are evidence-based should
be included in your reflective piece to support your evaluation of the intervention. (750 words)

During our very first placement this is what we did:
– made beds
– assisted with showers
– assisted with feeding
– took vitals (BP, HR, Temp etc.)
– simple wound dressings

The placement was only five days and I did a wound dressing on a gentlemen three times and that is the episode of care I would like to focus on. The wound was clean
but painful at time, of which my RN was notified.
