I chose Enviromental issues because you did a paper for me Cities and sustainability final: New York City, it was an excellent paper. maybe you might want to write about a specific community that touches on environmental in new york city.

it does not have to be just environmental, something else is ok.

Assignments Requirements
HOW I WILL BE GRADED.

Students will be required to identify a community that will be the primary focus of their inquiry over the course of the semester. The requirements for the course will involve several exercises. These include: an annotated bibliography, a documentary critique, an interview, and a participant observation. Students will write up field notes from each experience, and will convert their qualitative data into themes about the community that they chose to study. By using multiple research strategies, students will gain a greater understanding of the methods and how they are used. They will also develop a more nuanced understanding of a community and how it functions.

1-annotated B 12%
,an annotated bibliography of 5 sources on the community they will study for the final paper. Bibliography should include sources from two different kinds of sources (e.g. newspaper, academic journal, documentary, radio program, book, magazine article).

2-Participant Observation Field Notes and Thematic Essay: 12%
Students must write a three-page thematic essay of the data collected doing participant observation in the community they will study for the final paper. This essay will also include reflection on the method. Format to be discussed in class.

3-Interview Tool and Thematic Essay: 12%
Students must turn in both their interview tool (1 page) and a thematic essay of the interview data collected (3 pages), including reflection on the method. Informants should be someone who can inform the student on the community the student is studying.

4-Final Community Essay: 20%
This 7-page (+ bibliography) final community essay will summarize the most important themes the student has learned about his/her research community and reflect on which methods were important for collecting which data. This will be a narrative research paper, which will seamlessly incorporate data with reflection on the method
