CapraTek is hiring a new sales representative. You will develop a recruiting and hiring plan for a sales representative position.

In a 10 page paper, you will:
• Perform a job analysis and write a brief description of the job you will be developing for the final project using information from the CapraTek simulation and the O*NET Web site to develop the requirements of the job.
• Develop the competency model for a sales representative position. Identify whether individuals should possess competencies prior to hiring or would be trained on after hiring.
• Provide an analysis of the current labor market for that job. Note: You can assume any geographic location you choose for this analysis, but include in the paper where the job will be located. Be sure to include demographic data for females and minorities in your analysis.
• Create a selection plan for this position, including at least five screening methods, including:
? Interviews of various forms with various people and any form of testing (see Table A7 on page 392 of your course text for suggestions).
? Background checks (credit, reference, criminal, et cetera).
? Justify fully your selection of each of these screening methods. Also, identify the sequence in which you will use these methods to screen applicants.
? Describe the method you would use to make your final decision (compensatory, hurdles, weighted, et cetera) and justify your use of this method.
? Explain how technology would impact your choice of screening methods.
Identify the three best candidates to interview for the position, using the pool of 20 candidates within the CapraTek simulations, and explain your rationale.
