art of history Academic Essay

art of history

The Early – Mid 20th Century is a time of war and there are multiple sides to the effects of war – the violence of being on the front lines, the psychological aftermath of battle, the loneliness of the family left behind, and the loss of loved ones are just some of the many ways war effects humanity. For this week’s discussion I want you to think about different ways that art has been used to communicate the effects of war. You will want to establish a comparison between two specific works of art from the early 20th century that deal with an element of war and discuss how the artist is able to communicate the message of the work? How are the two works similar/different? Who was the target audience?
