2. What were the hypothesis(es) of the study as stated by the author(s) of the article? (½
point).
3. Thoroughly describe the experimental group(s) (e.g., age, gender, clinical or nonclinical
sample, and similar relevant aspects). This is the group(s) that receives the treatment(s).
NOTE: There may be more than one experimental group, so describe each group. (1
point)
4. Was there a control group (a group that did not receive the experimental treatment)? If so,
was this group engaged in any other activity or given a placebo? Explain how you made
this determination (½ point)
5. Describe how subjects were assigned to either treatment or control conditions. For
example, was there random assignment of subject to experimental/treatment or control
conditions? Explain. (½ point)
6. Thoroughly describe the treatment (content, duration, how administered, etc.). If more
than one type of treatment was given, describe each treatment and also whether different
treatments were given to different groups of subjects or the same group. (2 points)
7. Thoroughly describe the dependent measures given to determine the success of the
experimental intervention(s). When were the measures administered to subjects—pretest,
posttest? On other occasions? (2 points)
8. Using symbols of experimental designs described in the PowerPoint Presentation, draw
the diagram of the desigÕÉ≠†Њ†n. Provide the name of the type of experimental design that the
study most closely matches. Explain your logic in making this decision. (1 point)
9. What were the results of the experiment? Was it a successful intervention? Be specific in
