Purpose of Study: The study was developed to conduct an in-depth strategic analysis of the internal and external environment of Peloton and to gain an understanding of its strategic plan.
Sampling Comments: The research was conducted based on the company’s financial records and books of accounts to find out their strengths and weaknesses and thus there was no need for any particular sampling technique.
Measures: The research aimed to measure the company’s strengths, weaknesses, business opportunities, and threats in the internal analysis. The researchers also conducted an external analysis that was aimed at identifying any critical external factors influencing the business.
Findings/Results/Main Points: It was discovered that the company controlled a large customer community before and after the COVID-19, which the researcher expected to grow as the company continued producing less costly products. Peloton also had a large base of loyal customers who would not be swayed by simple controversies. Among the company’s weaknesses was the inability to meet the increasing demand for its products especially after the Covid-19 lockdown. The company had to shut down many of its showrooms during and after the lockdown, which threatened the growth of the company.
Conclusion: Peloton is an innovative company that enjoys a large customer base with many loyalists. The company should engage in more innovation and the production of products that are affordable to its customers for it to continue being a high performer in its market.
