We can work on Lighting Design

As the Hollywood Reporter article “David Rockwell, World-Renowned Architect. on Why He Also Designs Broadway Sets”Preview the document View in a new window suggests, architects and interior designers often share the same concerns as theater designers: creating a mood and telling a story.
For this Discussion, please visit an interior public space — a coffee shop, a restaurant, a department store, etc. — and take notes on its design. Look at the layout, the colors, the lighting, the clothes (costumes) worn by the employees, and listen to the sounds of the room. Then write a short essay detailing the space and what mood it creates, i.e., what is it trying to express, and how does it make (or want to make) you feel, and why?
Some things you might think about: Is the room bright or dark? Colorful or muted? Airy or crowded? Loud or quiet? Are surfaces hard or soft? Sharp or rounded? Rough or smooth? Do the employees all wear the same clothing? If not, is their clothing all similar in some way?
Three or four paragraphs should be sufficient, but you are welcome to write as much as you like. Please make sure your essay addresses the question fully, is grammatically correct, employs full sentences that express clear ideas and properly cite any sources you may have consulted, while avoiding text-messaging-style short cuts, slang and/or profanity.
