Preview: Real world applicability is critical to the logistics and supply chain discipline. To develop skills in the understanding of the types of managerial challenges that are faced within the discipline, students will be given three business names to do the case study on (select one only as a team). Students will be asked to read the case thoroughly and to complete research outside the course materials. Course materials and other external research can be utilized.

Instructions: As a team, select of of the the following businesses to do a research on its supply chain process and answer the below questions in paper format.

Nestlé or Starbucks or Pete Coffee (Select one only)

Include the following:

– Introduction of the business and its nature

– Information about the business (# of stores, # of employees, target customers, regions, . . etc.)

– Supply chain method used (for stores and online)

– How do they stay efficient

– What are the various ways they utilize to ensure no gaps with their supply chain and ensure solid supply/demand balance

– Do you see any problems or gaps in their process (if yes, what is your recommendation to solve them?)

– Provide your recommendation as a team to stay competitive and efficient in the market to satisfy the customers.

Paper should be 6-8 pages in total (APA format) that includes a cover letter, introduction, content (body), conclusion (summary), and references.
